Residence Halls

The following measures are being implemented to reduce the density of on-campus occupancy of residential students for their health and safety:

  • Students will share a bedroom with, at most, one other student.
  • Each student will share a bathroom with at most three other students.
  • Bunk beds have been removed from all units.

Individuals will need an authorized GWorld card to access residence halls.  For the fall 2021 semester, no guests allowed except for other GW residential students between 7 am – 11 pm and no overnight guests allowed. With a residential student only guest policy this means no outside guests are allowed to visit the residence halls until further notice, including family or friends from outside of GW as well as GW students who live off-campus.

Events and Venues

GW community members may book event spaces through the GW Venues website, which provides a comprehensive list of bookable spaces, including venues, outdoor spaces, study spaces, classrooms and residence hall community rooms.

The GW Venues site also provides information on how to book event spaces at the Mount Vernon and Virginia Science and Technology campuses as well as at the Virginia Academic Centers.

Guests are required to attest that they are vaccinated or, if they are unvaccinated, attest that they have received a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of their visit to campus.
